UNCERTAINTY

277 X 354 mm (11 x 14 in.)  ink and oil pastel on paper

NOT CERTAIN WE LIKE THIS PIECE and there isn't much more to say about it except that it came in pursuit of the concept of pursuing beauty no one will ever see.  As a purely painting process we were attempting to abandon thought or "design," or basically allow the painting to paint itself, while also incorporating the whole color wheel; later we we see things appear, like a boat, (and added trees because we liked the transparent nature of oil pastel trees), and things that were not intended to be illustrated.
